Dr. Tong Ming Chuan is a Consultant Cardiovascular Surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre, Singapore, with decades of experience in cardiac care. He previously led the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Singapore General Hospital and directed both the Heart and Lung Transplant Programs. Dr. Tong performed Singapore’s first heart transplant in 1990 and the country’s first lung transplant in 2000. He pioneered the use of all-arterial grafts, minimally invasive, and off-pump techniques for coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG) in Singapore.
