Dr Agasthian is an accomplished cardiothoracic surgeon with deep expertise in thoracic oncology, esophageal disorders, lung transplantation, and minimally invasive thoracic procedures. He graduated from the National University of Singapore and sharpened his skills through advanced training at renowned centres like the Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic. In his career, he has led surgical oncology at the National University Hospital and served as Deputy Director of the National Cancer Institute Singapore. He also contributes actively to academic medicine as an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and serves as a Senior Thoracic Surgeon at both NUHS and the National Cancer Centre Singapore.
