Dr Tan Yu-Meng is a hepatobiliary and cancer surgeon at FeM Surgery with extensive expertise in GI-HPB surgery and cancer treatment. He graduated with First Class Honours from the University of London and trained in general surgery at Singapore General Hospital. He went on to specialize in advanced HPB surgery and liver transplantation in the UK and Japan. Dr Tan played a key role in establishing Singapore General Hospital’s liver transplant programme and led groundbreaking surgeries, including the hospital’s first split liver transplant and Asia’s first combined heart-liver transplant. He continues to perform highly specialized procedures for complex cancers, including peritoneal malignancies.
