Dr Shridhar Iyer
Dr Shridhar Iyer is a distinguished general surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore, with subspecialty expertise in hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) surgery, liver transplantation, and surgical oncology. He holds an MBBS and MS from India, an FRCS (UK), an FAMS (Singapore), and an MBA (Singapore), and brings over 20 years of experience in minimally invasive, robotic, and general HPB surgery. He trained in surgical oncology at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, and completed a fellowship in liver surgery and transplantation at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan, under the HMDP scholarship.
He also served as Programme Director for the general surgery residency at NUH from 2010 to 2018, leading the first ACGME-International accreditation for general surgery residency outside the United States. Dr Iyer remains a founding member and past president of the Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association Singapore and currently serves as President of the Society of Transplantation Singapore.
