Dato’ Dr Mahmood Merican serves as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur, with additional sessions at Alty Orthopaedic Hospital and Subang Jaya Medical Centre. He earned his MBBS from the University of Malaya and holds both FRCS (Edinburgh) and MCh Orth (Liverpool) qualifications. Recognised as a pioneer, Dr Mahmood Merican led early orthopaedic services in Malaysia and served as President of the Malaysian Orthopaedic Association. He specialises in arthroplasty and joint reconstruction, performing advanced joint replacement surgeries with decades of experience.
