Dr Yap Yan Lin
Dr Yap Yan Lin is Head of Division and Senior Consultant with the Division of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery at the National University Hospital, Singapore. She holds an MBBS, MRCS (Edinburgh), MMed (Surgery), and FAMS in Plastic Surgery, and registered as a plastic surgeon in 2013 after completing her surgical training. She then pursued a year of subspecialty fellowship training in breast reconstruction and oncological and trauma reconstruction at Sunnybrook Hospital, University of Toronto, Canada, and later trained in minimally invasive plastic and aesthetic surgery, including endoscopic and robotic techniques, in Taiwan and Korea.
Her clinical interests centre on reconstructive microsurgery, particularly breast reconstruction and oncological and trauma reconstruction, alongside abdominal, pelvic, and extremity reconstruction. She also has a strong interest in aesthetic surgery, including eyelid surgery, facelifts, breast augmentation, and body contouring, as well as non-invasive treatments such as fillers and Botox, and she specialises in minimally invasive abdominoplasty and repair of diastasis recti (“mummy makeover”). Alongside her clinical work, Dr Yap contributes to cancer research and holds memberships with FAMS, APS, and SSC(A)S.
