Dr Tan Kok Soon is a cardiologist at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore, with extensive experience in interventional cardiology. He earned his medical degree from Trinity College, Ireland, where he was the foundation scholar and received the MacCarthy Gold Medal in 1985. He completed his internal medicine training in Dublin and later trained in interventional cardiology at Scripps Clinic, California, under renowned mentors Dr Paul Teirstein and Dr Richard Schatz. In 1998, Singapore’s Specialist Accreditation Board accredited him as a cardiologist. Dr Tan also served as head of the cardiology department at Changi General Hospital from 1999 to 2003.
