Dr Ooi Yau Wei practises as a cardiologist at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore, with a focus on interventional cardiology. He manages complex coronary interventions and treats patients with advanced heart failure. He completed his advanced specialty training at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, where he also led Singapore’s largest heart failure programme. In 2010, the Ministry of Health awarded him the HMDP scholarship to train at the University of British Columbia, where he mastered advanced techniques such as rotational atherectomy, coronary imaging, and TAVR. Since returning to Singapore, he has provided round-the-clock heart attack care and has trained doctors across the region in advanced interventional techniques.
