Dr Ong Hean Yee is a senior cardiologist with over 20 years of clinical experience, including 7 years in the UK’s National Health Service and 15 years in Singapore’s public hospitals. He has special interests in cardiac screening, lipidaemia, exercise testing, heart failure, and advanced cardiac imaging. In 2006, he completed a fellowship in advanced cardiac imaging at the Cleveland Clinic, USA, under the HMDP scholarship and earned his board certification in echocardiography. Dr Ong established the Division of Cardiology at Alexandra Hospital in 2007 and later led the Department of Cardiology at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital from 2010. Under his leadership, the department rapidly expanded services across key cardiology subspecialties, including electrophysiology, heart failure, and clinical research.
