Dr Edgar Tay graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK). He completed his Advanced Specialist Training in Cardiology at the National University Heart Centre Singapore and received a Ministry of Health scholarship for further training in structural heart disease in London and Vancouver. At NUHCS, he led key programmes such as TAVI, MitraClip, and pulmonary valve interventions. He actively teaches, mentors fellows, and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals. Dr Tay also serves in leadership roles, including Governor of the Singapore Chapter of the American College of Cardiology.
