Dr Chen Weihao is a gastroenterologist at Mount Alvernia Hospital with a subspecialty focus in inflammatory bowel disease and intestinal ultrasound. He pioneered IBD and intestinal ultrasound services at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and led care for patients with intestinal failure and parenteral nutrition. Dr. Weihao trained in Australia and Germany under prestigious programs, becoming one of the first locally trained experts in intestinal ultrasound. He performs advanced endoscopic procedures, including chromoendoscopy and video capsule endoscopy, with precision. He also plays a key role in medical education, mentoring students from NUS and NTU.
