Dr David Ong is a senior consultant gastroenterologist at the Mount Elizabeth Orchard Medical Centre. He was the Head of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the National University Hospital (NUH) from 2017-2021 and remains a visiting senior consultant. Dr Ong set up the Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) unit at the National University Hospital (NUH) after an IBD fellowship at St Vincent?s Hospital in Melbourne. Dr Ong holds an Adjunct Associate Professorship at the National University of Singapore (NUS), Department of Medicine and is an advisor to and chair of the nomination committee of the International Council, NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
