Dr Chia Shi-Lu is a senior consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hip and knee reconstructive arthroplasty, joint preservation, minimally invasive joint surgery, and cartilage repair. He co-founded Activ Orthopaedic Centre and serves as a Visiting Consultant at Singapore General Hospital. A President’s Scholar, Dr Chia graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1995 and earned his PhD in cartilage biology from Imperial College London. He has completed fellowships in Japan, the UK, and the USA, including at Brigham & Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Beyond clinical practice, he actively contributes to medical education at Duke-NUS Medical School, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and Nanyang Technological University.
