Dr Ng Jing Yu is a highly experienced Senior Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon with more than 17 years in clinical practice. Recognised for his patient-centric and empathetic approach, he treats a comprehensive spectrum of general surgical and colorectal issues, such as gallbladder disease, hernias, and piles. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and maintained prominent leadership and academic positions in the public sector before transitioning to private practice.

Before his current role, Dr Ng was an Assistant Professor and Senior Consultant within the Division of Colorectal Surgery at National University Hospital (NUH). He also served as the Associate Program Director for the General Surgery Residency and headed the Colorectal Fellowship Programme at NUH. In 2020, he received the esteemed Ministry of Health HMDP fellowship for specialised training in advanced transanal and robotic methods at the Koo Foundation Sun Yat-Sen Cancer Center in Taiwan. Currently, he remains a Visiting Consultant at NUH and serves on the Singapore Colorectal Society’s executive committee.
