Dr Desmond Wai is a gastroenterologist and hepatologist who received his medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 1994. He earned his MRCP (UK) and Master of Medicine in 1998, and completed advanced specialist training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in 2002. He trained in Hepatology under Professor Anna Lok at the University of Michigan, where he published in top journals like Hepatology and Liver Transplantation. As a consultant at NUH from 2003, he published over 80 articles on liver diseases, transplantation, and endoscopy.
