In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF)

A Solution For Fertility Challenges

In vitro fertilisation (IVF) is a form of assisted reproductive technology used to help individuals or couples conceive when natural conception proves difficult. It involves retrieving eggs and fertilising them with sperm outside the body, before transferring the resulting embryo into the uterus. IVF can be recommended for various reasons, including blocked fallopian tubes, low sperm count, ovulation disorders, or unexplained infertility.

IVF Cost In Singapore: A Complete Guide For Couples

Why You Should Consider IVF?

Early evaluation and treatment through in vitro fertilisation (IVF) can improve your chances of success and reduce the stress of waiting. Fertility naturally declines with age, especially for women, so timely action is key. IVF can also uncover and address conditions such as endometriosis, low sperm count, or hormonal imbalances. Taking the first step early may bring you closer to building the family you have been hoping for.

FAQs

IVF is a fertility treatment where eggs and sperm are combined in a laboratory to create embryos, which are then transferred into the uterus. It is suitable for couples with infertility issues and those with medical conditions affecting fertility.

One IVF cycle typically takes 4 to 6 weeks, including ovarian stimulation, egg retrieval, fertilisation, and embryo transfer. Some clinics offer tailored timelines based on your health profile and availability.

Success rates depend on factors such as age, the cause of infertility, and embryo quality.

While some parts of the process—like egg retrieval—may be uncomfortable for some, most IVF procedures are done under anaesthesia or mild sedation. Your fertility team will guide you every step of the way.

Yes, foreigners and expatriates can seek IVF treatment at both private and selected public clinics, though eligibility and costs may vary.
