Dr Michael Wong Jen San is a general surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Hospitals in Singapore, specializing in gastrointestinal and hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) conditions and liver transplantation. He received his medical degree from the University of Leicester and completed advanced surgical training in both the UK and Singapore. Dr Wong further honed his expertise in living donor liver transplantation in Japan under renowned professors at Kyoto and Kumamoto University Hospitals. He played a key role in Singapore General Hospital’s early transplant milestones, including the first successful split liver and combined heart-liver transplants in Asia.
