Adjunct Associate Professor Jerry Chen is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon with a strong focus on hip and knee surgery, sports injuries, joint preservation, and trauma care. He pioneered the use of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols at Singapore General Hospital, reducing hospital stays for joint replacement from 4 days to just 18 hours. Dr. Chen has performed over 500 surgeries annually and is among the few specialists in Southeast Asia with expertise in partial knee replacements. He has trained internationally in Switzerland, Germany, China, and the UK, and continues to advance the field through teaching and publishing over 100 scientific papers.
