Dr Chua Horng Ruey leads the Division of Nephrology at the National University Hospital, where he serves as Head and Senior Consultant. He specialises in renal medicine and treats a wide range of kidney-related conditions, including acute kidney injury and metabolic syndrome. He actively leverages data analytics and informatics to predict and manage kidney disease outcomes. As a Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology and an Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, he combines clinical practice with academic leadership. His current interests include the use of biomarkers, continuous renal replacement therapy, and advancements in critical care nephrology.
