Dr Tho Chin Keong is a Singapore-trained obstetrician with extensive expertise in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and prenatal diagnostics.
He graduated with a medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 1984 and later served as a Naval Diving Medical Officer during national service. In 1987, he began his basic specialist training at Singapore General Hospital and went on to earn Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, London.
He further advanced his training at the Department of Maternal-Fetal Medicine in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital from 1990, developing strong capabilities in ultrasound diagnostics, including 3D/4D imaging, and antenatal diagnostic techniques. His clinical passion includes intrapartum fetal care, particularly the interpretation of fetal heart rate patterns, for which he authored a book chapter.
Dedicated to medical education, Dr Tho mentors medical students and specialist trainees, and regularly speaks at public forums and professional events.
Beyond clinical practice, he has served as a member and Chair of the Yuhua Healthcare Committee since 1994, promoting community health through educational talks and free health screenings with fellow volunteer doctors.
