Adjunct Assistant Professor Tan Siong San brings over 20 years of hands-on experience as a Senior Consultant Surgeon specializing in general and hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) surgery. He earned his medical degree from the National University of Singapore and completed advanced surgical training in Singapore and Taiwan. At Changi General Hospital, he led the HPB service and expanded its capabilities in minimally invasive surgery. Dr Tan focuses on providing evidence-based care for liver and pancreatic cancer, while continuing to perform procedures for hernia, stomach, and colon conditions. He actively mentors future doctors and has received multiple awards for his contributions to medical education.
