Dr Sivahami Sivananthan is a UK-trained Obstetrician & Gynaecologist with 15 years of experience in the United Kingdom. She earned her medical degree from the University of Bristol and completed her post-graduate specialist training in O&G within the Oxford Deanery, primarily at the John Radcliffe Hospital. She became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in 2008.

She later pursued advanced training in High-Risk Obstetrics and Maternal Medicine at the John Radcliffe Hospital. In addition, she holds a Diploma in Family Planning from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health. Dr Sivahami Sivananthan is accredited by both the General Medical Council UK and the Singapore Medical Council.

After moving to Singapore in 2014, she served as a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at Raffles Hospital until June 2022.

Her clinical practice spans the full spectrum of general obstetrics and gynaecology, with a strong focus on managing high-risk pregnancies and mothers with medical conditions such as diabetes, asthma, thyroid disorders and cardiac disease. She also treats pregnancy-related complications including hypertension in pregnancy, bleeding, pre-term labour and fetal growth restriction.

Her general gynaecology expertise includes cervical pre-cancer screening (colposcopy), contraceptive care, adolescent gynaecology and menopause management. She is also experienced in gynaecological procedures such as hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, cystectomy, myomectomy and hysterectomy.

Dr Sivahami’s academic contributions include publications in peer-reviewed journals (American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, J Endometriosis), authorship on a Cochrane review and presentations at both international and local conferences (FIGO, British International Congress of O&G).
