Dr Anthony Tang is a Breast Cancer surgeon known for his clinical expertise in Breast Conservation Surgery, Breast Reconstruction (Oncoplasty), and Sentinel Node Biopsy for targeted lymph node removal.

Dr Tang’s distinguished academic journey began as an ASEAN scholar during his pre-university years. He later earned the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship for Medicine, which supported his undergraduate medical education in Melbourne, Australia. He then successfully completed his demanding postgraduate surgical training, culminating in a joint specialist fellowship conferred by the Singapore and United Kingdom (Edinburgh) boards. Furthering his credentials, Dr Tang secured two additional postgraduate Masters degrees: one in Medicine (Surgery) and another in Public Health (Clinical Epidemiology).

With a robust focus on research, Dr Tang has a particular interest in medical device innovation. This passion led to him being awarded the inaugural Singapore-Stanford Biodesign Fellowship in 2011. His leadership extended to serving as the Fellowship Head at Singapore Stanford Biodesign and as a Clinician Consultant to I²R, A*STAR. He has significantly contributed to the field by training over 400 budding medical device entrepreneurs. As a Clinical Principal Investigator, his work involved managing grants totaling over $4 million. His extensive research accomplishments were recognized by NUS (National University of Singapore), which conferred upon him an A/Professorship.

Dr Tang is deeply committed to giving back, utilizing his professional skills to aid the underserved. He is passionately involved in surgical outreach programs across Asia and co-founded the surgical volunteer and charity organization within the National University Health Systems (NUHS).
