How Is the Procedure Done?

A PET/CT scan is safe and precise.

Procedure:

1. Receive a small radioactive tracer injection (safe, short-lived).
2. Rest for 30-60 minutes while the tracer circulates.
3. Lie on a table for the scan (20-40 minutes), which combines PET (how tissues and organs are functioning) and CT (structural changes).
4. Results are delivered within 2-5 working days in general, with follow-up consultations arranged as needed.

Is a Doctor’s Referral Letter necessary for PET/CT Scan?
