Dr. Yap Lok Huei is currently Head of Department, Plastic Surgery at Prince Court Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur. He was formerly a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the University Hospital Birmingham, UK. Dr Yap is a fully accredited and board-certified Plastic Surgeon, having completed plastic surgery training in Edinburgh, Dundee and London, as well as subspecialty clinical fellowships at MD Anderson Cancer Centre, Houston; Great Ormond St Hospital, London; Wellington Hospital, London; and Akiba Hospital, Tokyo.

He has authored peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in Plastic Surgery. He is a recipient of the British Journal of Plastic Surgery Prize, the Ethicon Foundation Fund and the BAPRAS UK Travelling Bursary. Dr Yap is a member of ASPS, BAPRAS, BAAPS, MAPACS, MSPRS, RSA and OSAPS.

He is a regular speaker at international Plastic Surgery meetings. Dr Yap carries out cosmetic surgery of the eyelids, face, nose, breast and body with interest in microsurgery and microtia reconstruction. He is passionately involved in hands-on postgraduate surgical education and training.
